Sprung on Spring!

"I am Sprung on Spring!"  I know, You probably think I  made an error and quoted this backwards.  Absolutely  not, spring is my favorite season of the year. I am reminded of how everything can be dry, dead & dormant one day and fresh, alive & motivated the next. The Crocus, Daffodils, Tulips & Forsythia are the first to burst through the earth emerging in colors of red, purple & yellow.  The Cardinals, Blue Jays, Finches, Sparrows & Chickadees perch upon an emerald green yard which seemed to transform overnite. They busily work to prepare a home for their eggs to  nest upon and wait for  new life. A spring rain falls gently to the earth as if to cleanse the air & refresh all that it touches. At various times, we will enter the bone chilling  winter season of life. The  pain of these trials seem unbearable and often make us numb, hardened or broken.  Days seem to be drab like the brown earth and lifeless as the tree limbs that appear dead on a cold winters day.  Our future seems dull as if to be like an artist's unfinished lightly tinted canvas. God reminds us that it is in these times, He is still  on the throne. Even though it seems winter is never going to end, spring is coming. My life was like the dead of winter before Jesus came into my heart. He put a spring in my step,  gave me a reason to live with refreshing  joy and an humbling peace in my heart. Jesus forgave all my sins when I accepted Him as my Savior. His Spirit lives in my soul and  I  now have eternal life. The wintery trials of life constantly remind us that the refreshing spring rain is coming. Those spring flowers had to grow through a whole lot of dirt to bloom. One day we're gonna bloom and spend eternal life in a home God has prepared for each of us called  heaven. So, bloom right where you are planted and like the birds be prepared .  I am "Sprung for Spring", because it reminds me Jesus is coming soon.  Lets get ready!
